from hell... my love

johnny depp is smothering handsome

"from hell" is showing on tv tonite.

and i am excited to watch it again.

it is a thriller starring Johnny Depp (very handsome) and Heather Graham. based upon a graphic/comic novel of the same name that further raises the issue of jack the ripper and his killings in victorian england in 1888 and the freemasons. (if u like conspiracy theories, u wld like this movie) i have watched this movie in the cinema back in 2001 and was totally engrossed.

there is gore in the movie but very subtle and implicit, and this style actually makes the movie more dark and disturbing bcuz it's all your the head. the movie is awashed in red and black. and protrays victorian england that is realistically glooomy and gritty.

Depp is Inspector Abberline for scotland yard and has a drug addiction. he “chases the dragon” which results in him having visions that help him solve many past crimes. (btw, he also happens to look very dashing and handsome in his victorian english suits...)

Graham is Mary Shelly, a prostitute, whose frens are believed to be slained by jack the ripper. there is eventual romanace between Mary Shelly and Abberline.

(spoilers alert!)

but it is love that is never meant to be. a love of a higher order. he loves her and that is why in the end, he has to stay away from her in order to keep her safe.

yes, u nod your head.

but u still feel kinda weird abt the statement. but there is no difference as saying "i am fine with heterosexuality as long as it is of fidelity and not of promiscuity." aren't relationships all the same, doesn't matter whether it is homosexual or heterosexual. it is only gender. and gender is a man-made category or concept. it doesn't mean anything. should it not be about the connection of the mind, and the soul? (yes, i hear u say the body too...but sometimes, it is not even about the physical...well maybe to a certain degree)

it doesn't matter if u are a girl or a boy... as long as love is true/pure between each other... u don't have to care abt anything else. (too ideal?)
