Farewell, Yasmin Ahmad

i didn't believe noi's sms informing me of the passing of Yasmin Ahmad. it took a whole day for me to finally gather the courage to google for more news about what's really happening. it was shocking. major newspapers online report about it. this is not true, i kept telling myself. still reeling from shock. i am saddened... dear Yasmin Ahmad was such an inspiration and creative talent and i really like her 'Sepet' movie and the petronas ads she made. i am crying watching these petronas ads again on youtube. i feel so sad... she was such a great storyteller & film director, whose works inspire so many of us and push the boundaries of the conservative world we are living in our heads. Dear Yasmin, u're missed by us all... ♥

gotta confess... i listened to the cure when i was a lot younger. i was feeling kinda morbid and depressive and listening to their music actually made me feel better that i was not alone that it was actually ok to feel like this sometimes... anyway, i love the lyrics to many of their songs ♡♡♡ they're just so poetic and meaningful.
